WHAT IS RADSCHOOL?
RadSchool is a new political education offering from the Radical Communicators Network. Our current project – the Narrative Power Curriculum – is a transformative journey designed for those engaged in radical and progressive social movements. It is not a traditional classroom experience nor a step-by-step training. Instead, it’s a dynamic space that fosters deep learning, critical thinking, and strategic analysis for those committed to challenging existing power structures and advancing social justice.
The Curriculum focuses on understanding movement theories and political frameworks that are foundational to sustained movement-building, using both historical and contemporary examples. By centering on counter-hegemonic narratives, the Curriculum honors lived experiences, integrates somatic practices, and actively seeks to reclaim narrative power.
HOW IS IT STRUCTURED?
The Narrative Power Curriculum spans 12 core modules spread out over many weeks. It is grounded in both Liberation Stories as a foundational text and the Narrative Power Framework, an approach rooted in radical politics and best practices that uses symbolic resources, stories, messages and narratives to resist oppression and build power for a liberatory society for all.
Participants engage in interactive sessions that connect theory to practical work, and through case studies and collaborative exercises, strengthen skills in narrative analysis and strategic thinking. We aim to create an inclusive learning environment that respects your full identity and experience, grounding our discussions in healing justice and somatic practices.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Narrative Power Curriculum is not just for students or those new to organizing. Neither is it a one-size-fits-all solution focused on tactics or a mentorship program for specific projects. It is a collective learning framework designed for those on the path of radical transformation.
Throughout this program, you’ll connect with like-minded individuals, engage in small group discussions, and access resources that support individual growth and collective action. By the end, our hope is that you will not only see yourself as part of a broader social movement but also emerge with a fortified sense of purpose, equipped to wield narrative as a powerful tool for social change.
